Possibly our new home....

So it seems like we have been trying to sell our home FOREVER! We love our neighborhood and would love to stay up here, but we have not been able to sell our home. Our realtor suggested a trade which looks like a good idea for us. There are a lot of people that are foreclosing on their homes, so instead of losing everything, they trade(buying each others home.) We just need to make sure that both of our offers agree.
Here is the home.....

Black Island Farms....

Today was a fun day! My mom, Brandy, and I were planning on taking Isla, Kennedy, Kelsey, and Kolby to the treehouse museum. We got there at 2:30 and they told us that they were closing at 3:00 for a halloween thing that they do on Fridays. Change of plans! So we ended up going over to Fat Cats for a little while so the girls could play some games and then ended up at Black Island Farms. I went a little picture happy today............ At the treehouse museum
Isla on the merry go round

Kolby on the merry go round. I think she rode this 4 times:)

Kennedy playing Dance Dance Revolution

On our way to Black Island Farms, Kolby wanted to stop by Ron's office to give him a halloween ring. Ron was pretty excited to see all of us. Ron was playing in a racquetball tournament in Logan, so he could not join us tonight.

At Black Island Farms they have corn mazes, hay rides, slides, feeding animals, face painting, etc. They had a Team Jacob Corn Maze, Team Edward Cornmaze, and Bella cornmaze.......we had to draw straws to decide which cornmaze to go into.

Kolby Lou Hoo...... I always think she should be one of the Whoo's off of the Grinch.

Kennedy with her handy dandy stick. We were lost FOREVER!!!!! She drew X's at all the crossroads and we still got lost. We had a worker come help us and.........we still got lost.

Finally, Kolby started just randomly telling us which direction we should go and.......we somehow made it out of the maze.

This slide was pretty tall. I can't believe Kennedy went down it.

AnOtHeR UpDaTe.....

What has been going on in our lives lately? Well..... not much, but a lot of laughing! Our dogs make me laugh, Ron makes me laugh, and although life is not going as I had planned, I feel really blessed! For the past little while after our failed adoption, we have been trying to figure out which direction we should go to start our family. We received an email from a birthmom a little while ago that got me excited, but then she never wrote us back after we replied. Our friends just got back from adopting their baby girl from China and so we started looking into international adoption. I was pretty excited because they said what a good experience they had and that their total expenses was only $25,000 ( I say only because that is more realistic than what we had expected) Then we found out that you have to be 30 to adopt from China so we ended that search, but hopefully one day we will be able to! Then we started looking into Japan. I'm japanese, why not look into japan. We found one agency in California who did japanese adoptions, but there was a waiting list of about 12 months and then once you were accepted, the process would take another 9-18 months to bring your baby home. Oh yeah, the other minor detail was that japanese adoptions would run close to $50,000. Next option, we started looking into in-vitro and hearing all of the horror stories of all of the cases that tried in-vitro and it didn't take. Anyway, to make a long story short, I have really been praying to try to figure out which direction we should go to start our family. This morning I really prayed (more like a plea) that if we should adopt at this time, that we would come in contact with a birthmom. When I got home from work tonight, I checked our email and a birthmom had contacted us. I can't wait for Ron to get home from a his meeting so we can write her back. I don't know if this birthmom will like us or even respond to our email, but what I do know is that our Heavenly Father answers prayers and that He continually reminds me to not lose hope. He is keenly aware of my desires to be a mom and knows of the intentions of my heart. I know He has heard all my crying and pleadings over the past couple of months and will bless us with children in due time. I truly am grateful for all the little tender mercies in my life that remind me that we have a loving Heavenly Father looking over us.

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Happy Birthday Mom!!! The big 52!
I just wanted to wish my mom a happy birthday! She really is the best mom and I continue to learn so much from her. Here are some of the things I love about my mom....
- She has always had time for us. I remember when she first started working, she worked at our elementary so she could be with us when we got out of school. When she would go running, we would go ride our bikes with her. She always was out practicing sports with us and playing games.
- My mom is like an energizer bunny! She just keeps going and going. She is the hardest worker and has taught me a lot about work ethic.
-My mom has a childlike nature. I love that she taught us how to play with children and be creative. My mom still plays hide and go seek with the grandkids:)
-My mom has always supported me with everything I was involved in: She helped me make my signs for student government, or go to the games when I cheered, she was at every soccer game and driving me to countless practices (with food for the ride home.) Whenever I was gone out of state for tournaments, I would find little encouraging cards in my luggage.
-I can honestly say that I don't remember my mom ever getting mad at me. (Really, who could get mad at me:)) just kidding, but she really never yelled at me. I am pretty lucky because I have been blessed with a mom and a dad with good temperaments.
-I love that we have the same sense of humor. For some reason, I am the only one that thinks she is hilarious:)

Shopping with the girls..

On Saturday, my Mom, Brandy, Kaiya, Isla, and I went shopping for Kaiya's birthday! The big 8 years old! We went to the mall to get her some stuff, but we were also on a search to find Isla a halloween costume. A lot of people say that Kaiya is a little mini me, but I have to disagree! She is a lot cuter! Isla sporting the shades!

Halloween mask #1..... didn't work out so well. Isla tried to eat it!

Halloween mask #2.... cute, but still not the right one.

Halloween costume #3.....The tiger hat..well, it's not exactly a halloween costume, but the hat was cute, just a little too big.

Halloween costume #4..... the leopard! This was the one! She loved it and was growling at herself in the mirror:) She is so cute!
