Reese's first day of Kindergarten

I'm so proud of my sweet Reesie. She was so excited for school to start.  I tried to make her morning special and surprised her with donuts for breakfast, which are her favorite. She got to meet some of her classmates before school in the gym before school where she got another donut. Then she went straight into her class without even looking back. I went to pick her up for school and she decided that she was ready to ride the bus on her own. I was so surprised and made sure she made it on the bus and then hurried to get to the bus strop before the bus got there. She was excited that everybody was so nice to her on her bus and offering to walk her home. I was pretty nervous about her riding on the bus, but when I saw all the amazing kids on the bus that I knew already, I knew she was in good hands. I'm grateful to be surrounded by such amazing families that raise there kids well and that they are kind to my little girl. It makes a difference.

Nora's first day of preschool.

I can't believe that this girl is old enough to start preschool. I was so sad that she wouldn't be with me 24/7, but I couldn't be too sad because she was SO excited for school to start. School is definitely Nora's thing and she had always loved learning so I was excited for Nora to finally be able to do something she really likes and is good at. Nora loves doing homework and it is amazing how quickly she learns things. Nora has been watching me drop off Reese at preschool for the last couple of years and she was ready for her turn.  I dropped Nora off at school and she ran right to her teachers. Reese wanted to walk her in and it was really cute because it looked like Reese was giving Nora her big sisterly advice.

Soccer has begun....

The fall 2016 soccer season has begun and that means that Nora finally gets to play soccer. She has wanted to play soccer for the past year as she has watched Reese play for the past couple of years. Nora was really excited that she got to wear a purple uniform and that her team name was the "purple butterflies". In her first game, Nora was super excited and ran out on the field. Her teammate ran down the field and scored a goal and Nora started bawling and ran off the field crying, "I didn't win the game. I didn't win the game." I was trying to comfort her and explain that her teammate scoring was a good thing.....as well as trying not to laugh. Another thing that was pretty funny was when the other team had been scoring a lot of goals. Nora was sick of it and she decided to take things into her own hands. It was her turn to kick off and she saw the other team in front of her so she quickly kicked the ball behind her and headed to her own goal. She is hilarious!  Nora has had a lot of fun playing even though she just runs along side of the crowd with the ball. We have absolutely loved watching her play soccer.

Reesie also started another season of soccer. I didn't think she wanted to play again, but she told us she wanted to play and we thought we would try another season. She was really excited because we found out that 2 of her cousins were on her team. Although the 3 little cousins were not too aggressive, they had a lot of fun together.
