Well, I should have posted this a long time ago, but I have to tell everyone about my new/not so new favorite present from Ron. For our anniversary, he got me a new treadmill and I love it. So here is the picture of my new Nordic Track Reflex SR. Some people think that I am crazy, but I would prefer running on a treadmill to running outside anyday. Especially on one of my long runs. My mom and sister are running in the Ogden Marathon next week and I am feeling a little left behind because I didn't sign up, but hopefully next year we can all run it together. Anyway, thanks Ron for my present.

On our way to getting approved....

Well the past couple weeks have been really awesome! Last weekend we went to our adoption classes and it was so neat to listen to the different panels. There was an adoptive parent panel, a birth parent panel, and an adoptee panel. I really learned so much learning from each of their experiences with adoption as well as shed a lot of tears. When the adoptive couples spoke, it was neat to hear about each miracle that occurs with the placement of each baby. I know our Heavenly Father loves each of us and is in every integral step of the adoption process. From the birth parent receiving certain promptings to which couple their baby should go to and from the promptings the adoptive couples receive that they know which baby is supposed to be in their home. Truly miracles have not ceased and I have felt our Heavenly Father's love with each adoption. As the birth moms spoke, I started bawling as soon as the first girl started speaking. Truly, they are chosen women to be able to sacrifice their own feelings for their love of their baby. All of these women were amazing and admire their strength and courage for speaking to us about their experience. One girl said she had gotten pregnant at 16 and she had remembered learning in seminary about the proclamtion to the world and in class they talked about how a baby deserves to be born to a family with a mother and a father and she knew she needed to place her baby for adoption, because she could not give her baby that. I wanted to give her a huge hug because of her love for her child. I feel so much love already for the birth mom I have not yet met who will give me the opportunity to be a mom. One of the questions that was asked to the birth moms was "what did your adoptive couple do to help you through the adoption process?" One girl said that her and the adoptive mom would email and text everyday and that when the adoptive mom would go shopping, she would take a picture and text it to the birth mom and help her decide what bedding and so forth she should get. I know that each adoption will be different in how open it will be and I know I will need the guidance of the spirit to know what will be best for the child, but I could totally see myself getting attached to the birth mom as well and loving her as much as this adoptive mother loved her birth mother. Well, I am going on and on, but the classes were amazing and I loved them.

MY CUTE HUSBAND....

To anyone who has not met my husband yet, he truly is amazing!! I love him more and more each day. Here are a few reasons why I love Ron...
First of all, he is So cute and the nicest guy in the world.
Second, he is the greatest uncle and is so amazing with kids.
He treats me amazing and I couldn't have dreamed of having a better husband.
He loves his family
He doesn't try to conform to the world, but is happy with who he is.
He loves to learn new things like remodeling our house.
These are just a few of the reasons why I love my husband.....

This is Ron at our family cabin with our brother in law.

I love this picture of our nephew Landon and Ron. It is one of my favorites!

Things we love.....

I am not the greatest blogger in the world so I figured I could catch everyone up by posting all of the things I have enjoyed doing in the past year. Ron and I both loved going to the flowrider with Ron's brother and sisters. We are not very good, but we laughed a lot. We are lucky Brandon is a Chriropractor because I think we all had major whiplash.

Another thing I have loved doing is going to L.A. with Ron each summer. Ron teaches a IV sedation course at USC (GO TROJANS) each summer and I have been able to go with him. The first summer Ron's family went and we went to Disneyland and the broadway musical "Wicked", and we went bodyboarding in the ocean.

Another thing that was a lot of fun was Linda's (Ron's mom) surprise disco birthday party. Ron and I laughed so hard in our disco attire.Ron always laughs at this video of me while we were walking by the ocean cause he just says that I am like a little kid and his quote is...."Some things don't change":)

Girls Road Trip

This past weekend, my Mom, Brandy, Isla, and I went on our first girls road trip to Washington to see Adam, Jenny, and the girls and it was a blast. Well, except for the 11 hour car ride! Isla was so good and she just slept and then I was the entertainer in the back seat. We were back seat buddies. When we got to Washington, we had so much fun with the girls! Saturday morning, we went and watched Kennedy and Kaiya at Ballet and then we went to watch Kelsey at gymnastics. Then Adam showed us around the law school. He really is one amazing brother. It was funny as we walked around campus because I have never seen so many people stare at the girls in my entire life. I guess in Washington, it is not common to have 5 beautiful little girls on campus. My brother truly is amazing! He is doing so well in law school and is at the top of his class. The girls just adore him and I watched him as he was laying on his stomach doing his homework, while Khloe was playing horsey on his back and he was capturing Kolby in his legs while he was erasing the picture that Khloe had drawn for him on his homework. That is a dad for ya. Jenny really is such an amazing wife and mother! The girls are so good and get along so well. She is Adam 's greatest support and I loved talking with her and being up there with them. Saturday night was our Girls sleep over and we went back to the hotel and went swimming and then Kennedy, Kaiya, Kelsey, and Kolby slept over at the hotel. It was so funny! Kaiya fell asleep on one of the beds and when I tried to pick her up to move her she started talking in her sleep yelling, "Kennedy stop it, Stop it." Then I told Kolby (3years old) to get ready for bed and she went and sprawled out on the queen sized bed and wouldn't let anyone on and thought she could have the entire bed to herself with 8 girls in the room. I was laughing so hard. She wanted to watch dora and was just giddy jumping on the bed yelling, "Swiper, No Swiping!" In the morning Kelsey kept waking up really early and asking if Isla had woking up and stretched yet. She wanted to see Isla's first stretch in the morning so she kept waking up and then going back to sleep and finally at 7:00 Isla woke up and stretched and Kels was so excited. We had so much fun and when we went to leave, the girls had hid my moms keys behind the couch so we couldn't go. Brandy accidently left her camera at Adams so we had to stop there on the way out at 5:30am. Kaiya had told Adam to wake her up so she could give us hugs and Kennedy came with her. I miss my nieces, but it was so fun to spend the weekend with them. I am grateful for such a wonderful family and excited for our next girls trip.

This is Kolby hiding in a toy box

We were all being entertained by watching Isla trying to roll over:) Then Khloe and Kolby had to show us that they could roll over also! It was so funny

Kawaguchi Girls

I was so excited for my brother Adam and his family to come visit a little while ago. Our nieces are the cutest things ever! We were able to have a little family dinner and then on Friday, my mom, sister, and I, along with our 6 nieces had a sleepover. It was so much fun! We played a lot of hide and go seek, even though one of the girls peed her pants while she was hiding. I guess she didn't want to be found. I also had the opportunity to watch "The Princess and the Frog" at 5:00 in the morning with Kolby. She wasn't tired:) It was so much fun and I am so excited to see them soon!

Isla Jun Jensen

My sister Brandy adopted a little baby girl about 4 months ago and she is so cute. I am so excited for Brandy and know that it has been an emotional roller coaster for her as she has gone thru this adotion process, but it truly has been a miracle. Little Isla Jun Jensen is so cute and truly has been a great blessing to our family and all of us adore her. I cannot wait to have a baby! I am so excited also to have the chance to adopt like Brandy has. Here are some pictures from the shower we had for Brandy and also some picture of Isla over the past couple of months. My mom put me in charge of making a quilt and the decorations and I have to admit that the cake pops turned out pretty stinkin cute:)

Anniversary #2

2 years down and hopefully many many more years to come. I can't believe how much more I love Ron now than I did when we were married 2 years ago. I am still amazed by him. It's so funny how when we first got married, I was so independent. I liked going to the store by myself and it did not bother me very much if Ron didn't get home until late at night. Now, I love doing everything with him. I hate it when he is gone and I am so dependent on him. I actually love it!
He is such an amazing man and will be the greatest father one day.I love to watch him with our nieces and nephews and the neighbor kids. Hopefully that day will be sooner than later. I really have learned how amazing Ron is as we have begun this adoption process. He truly is my emotional strength. I am learning patience and trust in the Lord and he always helps me to see things as they really are. I love him more each day. I laugh more each year and even when I am upset, Ron finds a way to make me laugh, ( I don't want to laugh though cause I am mad remember, but I soon forget and start laughing also.)
Yesterday, we were able to meet our case worker and I am so excited to progress thorugh this journey. We have our meeting with her next wednesday and I can't wait. I just want to get approved as soon as possible. The soonest we can take our adoption classes are April 23-24, so I am thinking hopefully we can be approved by May. I just have to remember to "trust in the lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths."
I know that we will soon be able to be parents and I am so grateful for the birthmom who is giving me this opportunity.

It's Been a Long Time....

Seriously, I do not blog nearly enough. This is actually quite embarassing if anyone is following my blog, but I will get better! Starting today, well tonight! I just have to tell you that life has been difficult, but good. Ron and I have been trying to do more together and we have had so much fun together. No matter how difficult life gets, I have to admit that I laugh more each day now than I ever did when I was single. So some of the fun things that Ron and I have been doing together are: racquetball, learning piano, learning how to speak japanese, watching Chuck, eat more together ( well, I should say making time to sit down for dinner. eating more just makes us sound like heffers:)), and those are just a few. Now, let me tell you about these fun activities....
1.) Racquetball- I really have fun playing racquetball, just don't let Ron know that or else he will get upset that I am better at racquetball than he is. Okay, I really stink and got mad at him for making me run when we were playing instead of hitting the ball right at me so I could hit it, but I am getting beter nevertheless. He wants me to play on these travel leagues or whatever it is and start playing in tournaments and I just tell him "right" and laugh!
2.) Learning to play the piano- So I have a new piano teacher named Ron and we havn't been donig the best on lessons so far I had to cancel my two piano lessons the past 2 weeks and so I have taken a total of a whopping zero lessons from him, but we are getting there and I have taught myself how to play the right hand.
3.)Learning how to speak japanese- Now we actually are doing kinda a good job on this one. We are starting to learn how to speak japanese now so we can hopefully go on a mission to japan in 30 years and help the prophet know where to send us. So this is what I have learned so far, "Watasha wa futtote imas" that means "I am fat", but Ron makes me say, "watasha wa yasate imas", which is " I am thin" like 10 times a day.
4-) Watching Chuck- I made fun of Ron last year for watching Chuck and now I am stuck. I have been catching up on past seasons and sometimes we watch like four episodes a night. Yeah, embarassing. I laugh so hard though. One of my favorite episodes is when Morgan calls Chuck a "mind cheater" and the episode where morgan is mad at chuck because he thinks that chuck has become best friends with Jeff and so Chuck asks morgan to help him move something and morgan says why don't you ask your new best friend and Chuck says, "was jeff the pres of his high school AV club" Morgan, "no", then he says, "was jeff a roady for mama mia for four straight years?' Morgan, "no" chuck says, "does jeff have his own fog machine" morgan, "No, but I do!"" Well, this doesn't sound to funny, and actually it sounds pretty dumb, but I laugh every time I watch it and when Ron quotes it.
5-)Eating more together- Eating together has really been a blessing in our marriage and it really helps when I cook. I kinda feel bad cause ron has ate spaghetti about 4 times a week since we got married, but seriously we have been able to talk to each other and really sit down and spend time each day together!!! Also, Ron tries to stop home at lunch time if he can which I love!!
Well, these are a few things that Ron and I have had fun doing together!!
