We have been been talking about going to Disneyland for the last year and after watching cousins and friends go and come back, I finally planned our trip and bought the tickets. Reese and Nora were so excited to go. They did great on the airplane and hardly made a sound. When we finally got our rental car and checked into our hotel, we headed over to Disneyland. Reese was so excited she ran almost the whole mile to get there. I admit I was impressed. Nora was a trooper and just loved looking at everything.
The next day we finally found the princesses and pretty much spent the whole day meeting Repunzel, Merida, Ariel, Aurora, and Cinderella. Reese loved the Tangled show and we watched it twice. Merida was so cute with Reese and spun Reese around in her dress and so she had to ask all the princesses to spin with her. I have to say that there is nothing quite like watching your little girl spin around in her dress, knowing that she is a princess. I understand now why Disneyland is so magical. Nora was not too fond of meeting any characters and we actually had to try to keep her as far away as possible from them to avoid crying. I sure did enjoy all of my "holding onto dear life" hugs I received from her every time a character came by.
Can I just tell you how much I love these two. They are the cutest sisters and love each other so much. They share well, they are worried about each other if the other is gone, and they were heaven sent to our family. I love to watch them play and laugh together and this trip was full of both. They have brought so much joy and fulfillment into my life.
Reese loves her Kettle Corn!!!
Nora was such a trooper! She loved to dance to the music and look at everything and was just a happy camper. She crashed out quite a few times in her stroller and I love every picture. Nora absolutely loves music and is so in tune to it. Even when she was asleep, we would pass a jazz band and her leg would start bobbing up and down. It was hilarious.
Now in our everyday life, Reese never falls asleep anywhere except her bed. Reese was so exhausted at night that she would fall asleep anywhere she could lay down. We finally sat down for some dinner and she fell asleep in her chair. Another night we were visiting Ron's Aunt and Uncle and Reese fell asleep in my arms. That has happened once before since she could walk and I loved every minute of it.
One of my favorite things about this trip was sleeping with my babies. We don't let our girls sleep in our bed because we don't want to make a habit out of it. Also, I am usually waking up early in the morning to get my running in before they wake up, but on this trip, I slept with both my babies and they were so exhausted I didn't even get kicked. The one morning I woke up to me holding Nora and Nora holding Reese. Ron got sick on our trip so we let him sleep in the other bed. Luckily the rest of us didn't get sick until the last day.
On the last day, all of us were exhausted and Nora and I fell asleep on the plane and Reese just watched her movie the whole time. We had a fun trip, but were so excited to get home. The next morning, Reese and Nora didn't wake up until 11:30am. I think it took about a whole week for them to catch up on sleep. I think we will have to take another trip back real soon!
