A day at the doctor with our 3 kiddos...

I always get so excited for my children's well check ups. I love to see how much they weigh and what their percentages are. At this Dr. appt, we were able to have all 3 kids well checks and we have 3 healthy kiddos. Woo Hoo!!
Here are the Stats:
Ren-2 month check up
12lbs 12.5oz  68%
23.25in   70%
40cm   82%
Ren is growing like a weed! I love his chubby cheeks! I was worried that Ren was gaining weight too quickly, but the doctor said his growth rate was perfect on the growth chart. For the first 2 months, Ren was pretty colicky and we didn't know why. We had never had a colicky baby and so we were not sure if this was colic or not. I felt so bad because Ren would just cry if he wasn't asleep or eating. I was the only one that could comfort him and I felt so bad when anybody else wanted to hold him because I knew he would start crying pretty quickly. I have always felt like if the mother is stressed out then the baby can feel that stress and will stress out as well. I'm a pretty calm person and so I was praying that I wasn't stressing him out.  We tried gas drops, probiotics (that put him over the edge. I felt so bad for our little guy) and other soothing techniques, but nothing seemed to help him. He never spit up and didn't seem to have a lot of gas so we didn't think we needed to change formulas. We finally decided to just try a different formula and it made such a difference. It was like he was a completely different baby. You could tell he felt so much better and happier. Within a week, he was interacting a ton more, laughing more, smiling all day, letting his sisters hold him, sleeping longer, and was a lot more content. This was truly an answer to our prayers because I hated seeing Ren in so much discomfort. He really is the happiest baby and loves to smile when anyone talks to him. I love our sweet boy and am so grateful he is feeling well.

Nora's 2 yr check-up
Weight: 27lbs 8.5 oz   58%
Height: 35.5in     89%

Nora is a full on toddler and it is making me sad. She is becoming very independent and I don't know whether I should laugh or cry. As I look over her well-check papers, she truly exceeds all of the developmental milestones.
-She talks in sentences. Sometimes she just jabbers as fast as she can to be funny and no one can understand her except Reese.
-She recognizes her body parts, she knows the names and sounds of most animals, she knows her shapes, and can count to 16.
- She plays with Reese and interacts with her.
-She is definitely becoming more stubborn and testing limits, but she is also starting to understand consequences and make good choices. Which is the most important part.:)
Nora is developing great and is happy and healthy. We are so grateful for our sweet Nora.
Reese's 4 year old check-up
Weight: 36.2 lbs     61%
Height: 40.5inches    68%

I can't believe Reese is above average in her percentiles for weight and height. This was my 2 lbs 14 inch baby that  was fighting for life. She has thrived in every way possible and I am so proud of Reese. She is the greatest big sister and Heavenly Father definitely knew what He was doing when He brought her to our family first. She has so many qualities that make her an amazing big sister and will bless her siblings and our family tremendously. I pray that she will be able to be a good example to her siblings and they will learn from her. She is grateful which makes motherhood so rewarding. She will tell me that I'm the best Mama ever and gives me huge hugs which. There is my paycheck! She doesn't compare herself to others or compare what other people have, she just doesn't care.  She apologizes to me, without being told, when she has acted up or has talked back to me.  I wanted to cry the first time she did this because I knew all the things we have been trying to teach her were sinking in. She is a great big sister and I know she will teach her siblings many things that will bless our family.
